Jennie Under Fire For Culture Appropriation
The series is about the romance between a pop singer and a cult leader. The series doesn’t have any official release date yet but the casting surely has caught the interest of a huge audience. But unfortunately, with every good news, there’s always a chance of a bad one popping up. As some fans were busy celebrating the news, the trailer put a halt to it. The excitement turned into disappointment and anger as fans spotted the actress sporting cornrows.
As the actress faced heavy criticism for culture appropriation, there were also people rushing to her defence.
The series in itself is also quite controversial as people are skeptical about certain plots of the series and the sexualisation of the female cast. It is yet to be seen, what comes next now.
